COVINI B24 Turbocooler
Presented in: 1981
This sport two seater was first
officially unveiled at the Geneva Show in January 1981 even though it was
built at the end of 1979. Born as an experimentation mule with the purpose
of testing new technologies like the new air-liquid intercooler, it was the
first diesel road vehicle to exceed 200Kph. Sirio is its nickname. The
vehicle saw a successful small run in the United States, with nine cars
produced. Some exemplares were equipped with the Lancia Gamm engine (2500cc)
and called BT 424 (see the gallery). |
